Where Do Broken Hearts Go? (I'm asking for a friend): MY FIRST 1D CONCERT

I stand at a mere 4"8 inches tall. 4"11 in the wedges I was wearing to the show. If I hadn't worn those heels I would not have seen a glimpse of those boys.
Why? Why do people stand up at concerts?! I was in Block D. I had great floor seats, I was excited for the show until bam! - The boys come on stage and it turns out everyone in front of me is a giant!
But that isn't the only trouble I had that night.
So how was the concert I'd waited so long to attend?
I can't explain it. Underwhelming! Underwhelming is the word. Something was missing. I'm not saying Zayn. But maybe. I've got used to the idea of just the four of them and that's fine, I'm grateful to them for staying but there was just something not quite right about that night. I can't put my finger on it.
They've been performing and recording and traveling for 5 years and it's definitely taken its toll on them. They looked tired. You could see it on their faces. I felt bad for them.
Vocally you couldn't fault them. Their voices were ON POINT. Liam, in particular, I must say, hit some amazing notes. But I didn't become a fan because of their singing, to be quite honest. They're amazing artists. Incredible singers, songwriters, performers. But it's their personalities, their group dynamic, their silly pranks and banter and jokes that made me love them. That's what I needed to see and I didn't and it broke my heart.
Here's why the concert barely felt like a 1D show:
Harry spilled very little water on the crowd - SHOCK. HORROR
No pranks - usually we get the boys running off, leaving an oblivious Niall on stage on his own or something of the sort.. Not that night.
Lilo didn't have a water fight - Nor did they take selfies, for crying out loud!
No lyric changes - Not one single mention of KFC (You know what I'm talking about!)
No Harry air punches - I have never been more disappointed
No streamers, balloons, fire or any noticable choreography - It was very stripped back and simplistic.
It was honestly like they just wanted to finish the last leg of the tour ASAP. They're so overworked, I don't blame them.
There were obvz good things that'd I'd also like to share. One of them being the many times the boys thanked us for our support. It was nice to hear.
Other yay points:
1. Harry's hair was MAJESTIC
2. The vein on Liam's throat when he sang high notes
3. Niall's brummie accent
5. Louis telling Niall to take his shirt off numerous times (Unfortunately Niall didn’t obey the sassmaster)
7. Harry’s dimples
8. Nouis banter
9. Liam saying we were louder than last night’s crowd. (LOL) (Classic Liam)
It really was incredible to see them live for the first time, after 5 years of supporting them. But I just spent the whole time worried about how tired they looked. It was a very surreal experience.
So there it is: my first 1D concert. Definitely not like fanfics. For one thing, Harry didn't notice me in a huge crowd and fall instantly in love with me. *SOB*.
